Max, a chaos companion: a novel by Aubrey Ballard

What was it like to be a part of the first American Chaos? Not just be there, but execute it.

What was it like to be a Kronie?
A loyal member of the Universal Defiance.

What was it like to live in the Asylum? Underground and hidden from society.

What was it like to make a decision that could change everything?

Meet Max

Max was your typical Kronie – a loyal member of the Universal Defiance with the goal of overthrowing the tyrannical government of OneGlobal. Max, along with his best friend Chase, had the honor of not only going on the first American Chaos but also being a part of the pre-Chaos team: a select group of Kronies who would infiltrate All-Mark and clear the path for the rest of the Defiance. But when a personal mission becomes Max’s focus, hard decisions must be made. With Max’s and the Defiance’s fate hanging in the balance, loyalties are put to the ultimate test.

why
chaos?

It all began with a dream…literally.

I awoke in a sweaty panic after just experiencing the first chapter of Chaos Theory Initiation. I had to get out of bed and walk around before my heart rate returned to normal. The next day, I thought to myself, “that would be a great book,” and left it at that.

One year later my husband, Michael, and I decided it was time to start a family. Due to my health, we knew we weren’t like most couples and would require a gestational surrogate. Since insurance covered absolutely nothing, it was time to raise some money. The crazy dream resurfaced in my brain, and I decided to put it on paper in hopes of funding our future embryos.

Well, who knew it takes FOREVER to write a book?
